This week, Flickr announced that they are taking away one of the key "free" functions: the ability to auto upload photos from your computer directly to Flickr. Now you need to sign up for a "pro" account for access to the same function.

Imagine seeing a photograph of a baby zebra sleeping peacefully atop the head of an adult tiger. Sounds crazy, right? Now imagine that same crazy image winning grand prizes in prestigious photography competitions.

The US and EU both have regulations that prevent you from flying your drone above ~500 feet. Someone in the Netherlands decided to ignore the law and fly their camera to 11,000 feet.

Okay, so the title was a little click-baity... but it's true. Posting to social media outlets where family members and friends can all admire your work can stifle your creativity and prevent you from getting truly constructive feedback that you can develop from.

My name is Chris McCann, and I'm a photographer based in San Franc isco. In this post, I'm sharing a list of photography videos I've found that have been helpful to me.

Sony are back with the sequel to 2012s surprise hits, the RX1 and RX1R. The new RX1R II still packs a full frame sensor into a barely-larger-than-a-compact body, but this time it's the same sensor from their spectacular A7R II.

A long-time Los Angeles Times photographer was arrested on the side of a road yesterday while transmitting photos he shot of former First Lady Nancy Reagan's funeral motorcade.

Photographs like the one above by photographer Shikhei Goh go viral on a fairly regular basis. If the stories are to be believed, given enough patience and a little (or a lot) bit of luck, animals can be captured doing all sorts of amazing things. According to an analysis published on Weibo, however, the stories can't (or rather shouldn't) be believed. Photos like these, the article claims, are staged by photographers who force pet store animals into awkward and unnatural poses.

The Canon 35mm f/1.4L II lens announced back in August 2015 was the first Canon lens to feature the company's new Blue Spectrum Refractive (BR) lens technology, a special lens element that corrects for color fringing.
