World View: dive in to mobile photography

If Henri Cartier-Bresson was right when he said that our first 10,000 photos will be our worst, it's probably safe to say that mobile photography has given people an opportunity to get past 10,001. The Mobile Photography Awards were launched in 2011 to celebrate the talent and imagery of the mobile photo and art communities. This year's competition saw more than 7,500 images submitted from around 90 countries. This dramatic image of a diver at the Royal national park near Sydney, taken by Annette Widitz, won an honourable mention in the People category.• mobilephotoawards.com
